Dunk’d

I didn’t quite know what to expect when I first dove into sculpture this past year. I was surprised by the tasks at hand and what it entailed to experiment and create forms with different materials. I was challenged at times with the ideas and concepts I had in mind and the turns my project would take as I worked with the materials I was given. I was quite determined to recreate a pair of my Nike Dunks (true to size / 10.5 mens) out of masking tape and wire. I did not at any moment stop and change course with the materials I chose and in the end I was happy with the results. I am especially in love with the play on shadows with the wire sculpture. The masking tape Dunk holds up well and I can actually fit into it.
