Urban Nature

In printmaking class this past year I explored a range of printmaking processes, including monotype, collograph and intaglio (drypoint and etching). For this project I worked with one of my drawings in creating the block for my prints. I am constantly drawn to nature, feeling a deep connection to it, yet my life is intertwined into the bustle of an urban city. The contrast between the landscape and the cityscape creates a balance within me. This piece represents the pull between the rhythm of nature juxtaposed with the energy of urban life.
